Where to find Quonset huts?

Anyone know where to buy old quonset huts? I looked on Ebay, no luck. searched the Web & there are companies that sell new quonset hut-like buildings, but they are a little pricey for me. Maybe all those old ones are just gone now.

They still have some of them at 29 Palms and Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Bases.. I'll ask around though my connections and see if I can find anything out for you. I spent too much time in Quonset Huts while a Marine, but they are interesting structures.

greenbean, meaning no disrespect, but if you try q-u-o-n-s-e-t, it could help.

Look at the back of Popular Mechanics or ANY hunting and fishing magazine and you will find dozens of little classified ads for building those kinds of steel huts and hunting camps.

Are you willing to move to where the quonset hut buildings are? Or do you just want the old, rusted out, building shipped to you?

Check your local craigslist, we just bought one off our local site. Paid $125. for it. It was a small one but it was just what we wanted.

Thanks Sage! I Spelled it right & it did help! I lived in those things in 67' & probably never did know how to spell it!

Billhoo, What I had in mind was finding an old boneyard where I might put together a couple of servicable ones. I have access to a flat-Bed & could pick-up, depends on the cost & how far from Las Cruces. Think two men could take one apart & load it? I'm beginning to think it might not be cost-effective now.
