Not nearly enough rain. Maybe 1/2 inch this weekend. They say there has never been a year this dry here since they've been keeping records.

Here in Northwestern Ontario we've got about 10 inches on the ground so far. It's about a 'normal' winter and much better snow layer compared to last year. Helps keep the ground frost from going so deep. Great snowwalking (snowshoes) and ski conditions also!

16 inches of snow then wind on top! calling for rain on sat, with the ground not frozen it should make a nice mud bog in the fields! it's now coming up on the ten year anniversary of the great ice storm that pulled down the power grid in eastern ont/west quebec and parts of the US, our local newspaper wants stories from the ice storm, hope we do not make more news this year!

You didn't like it either? What a nasty experience that storm was... we'd had ice storms before (91 was a good one too) but that was just eerie. I hope I never see another storm like it! We were without power for 15 days and we didn't have a woodstove Now, I'll at least be warm if it happens

We've got a lot of snow on the ground. This last storm gave us about 15 inches and we already had well over a foot. I may go stick a yard stick in the snow later to see exactly how much we have...

We have about a foot on the ground here in South Central WI from a couple of weeks ago. It is supposed to warm up this week and I am not pleased. I want more snow to add base to the snowmobile trails.

We finally have a nice December for once and should have a nice white Christmas. I am so tired of nearly snowless winters. I think it will be a cold one, judging by the coats and fat on all the animals, especially the deer. Except for the fuel bills, I love it!!

I'll take zero over 90 degrees any time. When it's cold, you can bundle up and stay out all day. You can never get comfortable in hot weather unless you live in AC. As for me, I would like 6 more inches of snow on the ground this week, please.
