Does Anyone Wear Bolo Ties??
I just found a beautiful Zuni inlaid Turquoise, coral and mother of pearl Bolo tie in my dads stuff. Does anyone wear these anymore??? Do you wear it with the top shirt button closed or open??

When my DH wears a bolo tie, it makes me think he looks country dressed up, rather than a regular tie that looks like city dressed up. I like the country dressing better ;0

Oh yeah, button or unbutton, either way.

I think it would be more hip with the top button UN-buttoned.
I say wear it. This is Texas, for Pete's sake!

I have a couple of the Bolo slides, but no Bolos! I occasionally wear a "scarf" tie which is a bolo on steroids.

My Grampa always wore one, they were rock hounds and he made his own jewelry, he looked so handsome, I had a copper cut out roadrunner one with a turquoise eye, don't know where it went to. I say wear it!

Bill has always worn his bolos with the top button 'buttoned'. Very dressy that way.
Your bolo sounds beautiful. Wear it in the manner that is most comfortable for you, but wear it!!

Yes, I wear them, top buttoned or unbuttoned. I kinda prefer them with the top buttoned, drawn up to the collar.

Not so much around here, but when I lived in Colorado lots of guys wore them. They do "cowboy dress" up there with a western cut and stitching in a very nice suit, dress boots, dress hat and bolo with top button buttoned. Very sexy! But for a casual look wear it with a regular shirt, top button unbuttoned, also very nice.

Yiup.......
I have a couple 'r 3, with turquoise & silver, a moonstone, and
I think, some kinda rock-crystal slides.
DSW bought them for me. They go well with Western/Cowboy dress-up.
So, I wear them on occasion.
I wear mine with the top snap open. I don't wear button-down Western clothes. Snaps are easier, in or out.
Some folks wear them, with the top button done.
Have Fun.

Naw, I don't wear them... no matter how snug I cinch them up, they still don't keep my neck warm.

I used to have a Boy Scout bolo tie that I'd wear with my Boy Scout uniform instead of a tie or a neckerchief.

I use to wear them when I was dating my wife (17 years ago). But now days when I attempt to wear one my wife says they're so outdated and no one wears them anymore! So I don't wear any kind of a tie at all anymore. Really liked wearing them!

...Oh ya, and I think they are for Southern cattle buyers and retired Millionaires.

DH and his groomsmen wore them in our wedding. I still like him in a bolo better then a "city tie", but he usually conforms to city ways if he wears a tie at all.
