Question Any interest in used books?

Usually when I go to the used bookstore at our local library, I see all sorts of craft boos for sale. Usually about $.50 to $2. Next time I go should I post a brief list on here to see if any one is interested? Or could we start a thread where people post a wish list for books that others can keep an eye out for?

I am always looking for crafts books that have crafts made of natural type items such as dried flowers, twigs and such. I'm always trying to come up with some craft that I could sell. Also, OLD (pre 1970) cookbooks here. I love old ones, the older the better. And any ANY book that has knitting and crochet patterns in it.

If you find anything like that, please let me know and I will certainly take them off your hands. LOL

Old tool catalogs, pre-1940, and the older the better. Old hardware company catalogs showing the complete line of products, those I like from before 1930s, as I have quite a selection from later years to the present.
Old gardening books and books on fruits and berries, pre-1940.

Both of these sites have used books and they send them via media mail so the postage isn't too bad at all. I take all my used books to the local used book store and get store credit for them. Which works really well since we have loads more books than bookshelves.

Do you think we should start a lending library where we send books back and forth via media mail?

any books on older crochet, and even beading christmas ornaments. My gramma used to make them for us each year. She passed away this spring, and I am going to pick up where she left off, I think. It's such a lovely gift, those bells and wreaths and such. And the beads are so beautiful. I can't wait for spring break, so I can get started.

Does your local (soon to be closing/hopefully not) have a friends of the library store? That is where I ususally go. Another reason to support the local branch.

P.S.- Ford Major, I sent you a PM did you get it?
