What's good to bait a trap for them? Got a friendly one visiting my front yard.

Ugly critters!

They seem to be really fond of cat food in general, kibbles or canned.

I'm almost afraid to ask what a monkey stick is.

Any table scraps will do. I feed one off my back porch nightly.
I see no reason to get rid of her. She has raised young in my basement for 2 or 3 years.

9 out of 10 possums surveyed prefer cat food for their last meal.

Be NOT Afraid the lowly Monkey stick is also called A Bannanna, I hate them thing. Try unloading 40,000# of them by yourself in half A day. You would hate them scummy things too. See it was nothing Nasty.. was it.

Around here automotive tires seem to be efficient.

"Monkey stick" is now in my vocabulary.

Had one visiting my basement several years ago. Tried cat food, sardines, dog food. Nothing worked. Finally caught her, with many babies on her back, with fresh sliced apple. Took her out in the country and let her and the babies go. (live catch trap)

I trapped one with my garage. Didn't mean to. I untrapped him with a trail of dog food out the partially closed door.

I had one visiting me for a while. He wasn't hurting anything, so I put out dog food for it (so it would quit getting into the barrel of poultry food). He didn't seem particularly afraid of us, the dogs or the cats. Eventually, he moved on (probably ended up as road kill).
