Clawfoot tub feet options/ideas

I have an old 6 ft clawfoot tub that I want to put into the yurt we are building. Porceain is in good shape etc....It has no feet so I started calling around for some, and at the salvage yards they will set me back upwards of 200 bucks for the 4, all other "quotes" were higher then that :1pig:
We are building this on a budget and really are into using recycled pretty much everything, we are far from fancy and quite practical most of the time...lol! That being said, does anyone have any ideas on foot options, like something we could make??? Or find??? I'm not spending the 200 on feet, so if we cant use the tub then I'll go down to the Re-store and find something else. thanks!!

Some non-footed tubs sit on a wooden pedestal base. This may be a cheaper option for you. Try Restoration Hardware.

The biggest problem with claw foot tubs is that their feet are not interchangeable. You have to get the right foot to go with the right tub.

Here is an Ebay link to some people in Ferndale, WA that sell feet for $30.00 each.

RE: my earlier post. I meant to say look at Restoration Hardware's site for some ideas about the pedestal bases. Their tubs are waaayy espensive. You could probably make your own base if you're handy and creative.

The previous owners of our house built a pretty wood border around our claw foot tub. Kind of hard to explain, but all that you see is the outer rim on top of the tub, and the rest is all enclosed in tongue and groove wood. The wood forms a nice ledge around three sides where it is nice to decorate, etc. This might be an option for you....
