Large pretty river rocks with a waterfall fountain....

seal the interior of the pot place a fountain pump inside then add smooth river rocks so that the water flows over the rocks...

I'll try to think up something else...

Like Stephanie said, it'd make a great waterfall/fountain. Place it part way on it's side as though the water is pouring out of it and onto a rockfall. Would be right pretty.

For Halloween, get a couple of witches to stir the pot.
Actually I like the waterfall/fountain idea,,,,just be sure it can't freeze in the winter.

Fill it with gold chocolate coins and invite short people wearing green to hang around it.

Angry If it Freezes up...........

If it freezes solid, it will crack the cast iron.............
then it won't be good for anything but..........

'Display' it by using it to cook big pots of soup over an open fire. Invite freinds & neighbors - have a party. If your pot doesn't have cracks or drainage holes drilled in it, it seems like a shame to waste it by using it as decoration.

Around here, cast iron pots with holes are easy to come by. Intact, usable ones aren't.

What ever you do--

What ever you do with it be sure to take care of it. Those big kettles cost mega bucks now when purchased new.

As stated, protect from freezing.

Some of the other posters mentions cooking....

you could always set it up for cooking outside like suggested and when not using it for real cooking...make some life size silohette(sp?) cutouts of cowboys sitting/laying around add some flame colored cutouts under the pot and add a red light bulb under the pot shining up at the bottom....

Then it's still useful but decorative too.

when the one I have isn't being used to cook beans for family reunions during the summer it sits on the porch out of the weather and I fill it with pumpkins, winter squash and ears of corn for fall decorations, which the chickens get to eat later,

If Your kettle is intact then make sure that you turn it upside down for the winter to keep any water out. I only use mine to cook in and make soap. Anytime not in use it is turned upside down so I don't make a mistake and let it fill with water and freeze.

Hang it

BTW you can weld a hoop to a truck wheel rim and hang the pot from that. If the rim were upside down (cup side up) it might not be as stable but could be used as a fire pit for heating contents of the pot.
