Aquaponics _must read_

I discovered an aussie site for backyard aquaponics www.backyardaquaponics.com

what it is is a fish tank that pumps water into a gravel bed and the gravel bed grow's veggies and such and filters the water to go back to the fish tank

very simple and easy and you produce HUGE veggies.

and you can eat the fish too!

my goal is to build the system large enough to eat fish whenever i want and the veggies/fruit as well
only going to the store for staples such as flour and milk and condiments etc

i so far just set up a small micro system to learn with and its using large gold fish as the fuel to run the system (wich you can eat them when they are big enough acording to sources, the chinese use to raise goldfish in wooden barrels to eat, similar to carp im told)

its a ton of fun if you go to the site and register for the fourms you can see some of my posts with pic's of my system i made a square siphon that works soooo good

i warn you all though this is very very adictive and will take your thoughts from everything else you have going in life :P

Valduare, Congratulations! You've joined a fantastic site.- really gets you in, I agree.
What heading are you posting your pics under? Saw you were on-line, but didn't know how to talk to you. (They have a chatroom facility but I don't know how it works - yet.)
