gas stove venting

Hi, we are thinking of getting a propane stove to heat a day light basement(small). we found a great deal on Lopi stove. It has a stove pipe, and we were wondering if we can use the pipe opening in the ceiling and roof that is already there for a pellet stove(we took that out, was frustrating to use)--just hook the gas stove pipe to the hole? The Lopi stove is supposed to be low(but not no) emissions.

Thanks!

They have ventless gas heaters also. I used one for a few years with no problem.

HI ;0) we're thinking about this particular piped Lopi since it's a closeout, 1/2 off. Otherwise we can't afford the ventless, or anything new right now. And since we already had the chimney setup already for the pellet stove, thought maybe it could be usd somehow for the gas?

I would not expect any problem. However, you need to check the specs on the heater you are thinking about purchasing.
