Possible code problems with a 86' mobile home?

For those of you who know about this stuff...

We are in PA. Planning on moving our 86' mobile home (in excellent cond.)
To our 2 acre lot next door. Was wondering if the new universal code PA has moved to would prevent us from putting such a old trailer on the land as our dwelling (Our lot needs sewer and water to be put in as well.)

The requirements are going to depend on the inspector that your municipality has hired.
I'm also in PA, and I have heard conflicting stories about anchoring these older singlewides. Some inspectors require that installation must go by the manufacturers specs, others go by some other guidelines.
I suggest you find out if your township has hired an inspector and contact him. If they haven't hired one, then it's up to you to find an inspector on your own.

Actually I was more wondering if the oldness of the trailer (age) would keep it from being used as a dwelling.

It depends on the local codes, call up the inspector for the area and ask. Some areas allow only mobile homes of a certian age (after 1995 for example) others only require it be a a HUD code home, which is after some time around 1976 I believe.
