Two inches on the ground and still coming down strong, cant decide if i am happy or sad. As usual I am not ready, dont even know where i put the winter clothes LOL. One more farmers market next saturday then a couple of weeks off before the crafters mall getting ready for christmas. I think i need to get retired so i can get my other (avocational) stuff caught up! Any one else getting snow this weekend? sis

It was 88º here this afternoon. Although I'd like some cooler weather I'm not sure I want snow any time soon.

So winter ended two weeks ago up there and is starting again now eh?

I sure don't know how you do it. I'm a big fan of the mountains and camp there as much as possible, but I just don't think I could deal with the stress of both my wife and I having to commute up and down the mountain all winter with snow and ice packed roads. If I did not have to do any sort of daily commute I could probably handle that.

Have you ever thought about moving to something with a little lower elevation and just a little more travel friendly in the winter?

wayne02---we think about it every fall LOL but then that would take all of the adventure out of our lives! travel really is not too bad once you get used to it. i complain for the first two weeks after the road closes and then just stuff it and enjoy the snowmobile ride down. i have 2-3 years till i retire then i wont have to go every day, that i am looking forward to. all winter we discuss moving and all summer we discuss why we wont move yet...pretty silly but this place is so darned beautiful! sis

Hot here too. My tomatoes and peppers are wilting and need water. I am going swimming in my little pool tomorrow. It is cooler in the mornings, but hot in the afternoon. All our stuff needs water, rain maybe Tuesday.

Don't know what part you are in but, yes, CO has had snow. Just yesterday we had several inches fall up on the Grand Mesa, rain here in the valley for us and just now it started raining again, and is headed for the mesa. Last week, again, we had rain but snow in the mts.

Snow? I wish. We're at 88 in Atlanta, but at least the humidity finally came down after several days of being brutal. There was a storm blowing in off the Gulf and they got rain west of us. All we got was elevated temps and humidity.

Happy snow day to you.

It's 90 here. Keep yer snow, I did my time for 21 years in Illinois. You can post pix, though, so I can go, "Awww, idn't that pretty!" and not have to shovel it, plow it, or scrape it off my windshield. That's the best kind of snow...the snow in pix. Never gets dirty and dull-looking, never keeps ya cooped up in the house for months. (Can ya tell I been there? LOL.)

Here's one of our only snowfall last winter... 2 inches, gone that afternoon... if I hadn't shot the pic at 6 a.m., I'd-a missed it.
