Lightbulb Does your state offer a free Conservationist Book?

We have one in Missouri I have been reading snice I was a kid. It is free to all
Missouri households and only $7.00 for out of states.
Out of all the states I have lived in there were only 2 I couldnt find.
It has lots of information in it including some neat pictures of plants and wildlife it also has all the hunting dates for each type of game.
If you live in Mo. you can call 573-522-4115ext.3856 or ext.2349 or you can write Circulation
P.O. Box 180
Jefferson City,Mo. 65102-0180
If you live in another state contact your DNR office or wildlife conservation office these are really well put together I save mine for my dad who lives in Ark. now and he sends me his.
I just wanted to let you know not to pass this good and free reading pass you up it is very educational(spelling).,paula

Publications.

Very good point about free and interesting publications. Here is a link for the Kansas Wildlife and Parks publications: http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/news/oth...s/publications

Here is a link for the Government Printing Office list of publication. Some are free, i.e. paid for by your tax dollars, while there are charges for others.

Thank you Wendy in Kansas I was looking for some other states as they dont cost to much if you are an out of stater I know that Washing state has a good one that I would pay for the one for Mo. is only $7.00 and they have one that is sent out 4 times a year called Missouri Resources you can have a Conservationist come out to your property to tell you what to do to set up and give you certain tips for bringing wildlife to your property like Quail,Turkey, differnt kinds of birds and wildlife. Both of my kids belong to the Stream Team to help keep the rivers in this area clean it is a heaven for canoeing here on the North Fork of the White River, you would not believe the mess that some people dump on the river banks and in the river even in the swimming holes, paula

I found the Conservation Digest for South Dakota. For $5 a year you get six issues. I have found free copies of old issues at the State Fair, it's a nice magazine.

Here's the link: https://www.state.sd.us/applications...p?ProductID=10
