Ravenlost,
Your home looks like the kind my DD wants to have built. She wants that little round room, the porches and the gingerbread trim. She would really like yours.
Pheasantpluker,
Your cabin looks more like a home to me. Really nice. I could live in that really well.

Slummin' compared to ya'll!!!
The first cabin here: 1985 built by my dear departed dad.
Then the mobile home was added in 1999.
This is 2 years ago (we have enclosed the porch, and are adding onto the left end of the trailer)
looking from the back of the land to the front, across our valley.
We built a road down the hill, through the woods to the creek in the center of the valley.
This is our creek (or a small part of it!)
This is what we scratched out of the woods for a garden.
Guess I need some more current pics of the house.

mamajohnson, Love all the trees around your home! We chose the highest point to our property to put our home and no trees around our house, only what we are planting now. Our woods is behind us.

Hi CGUARDSMAN,
I have wondered about that coop style. Can you tell me more. We have a few of them around here, too. It looks like more work than a square one, is there an advantage to all the angles?

You know what is really cool about this thread. Doesn't matter what we call home, we are all here on this website for generally the same reason... a better life. It shows that people can have the same goals no matter what they live in or how much money they have or don't have. Everyone has something special about their house. big rockpile are those lights on the eaves? Shirley, is that a real donkey in the picture behind the hay thing-a-ma-jig?
Keep the pictures coming!
