What is your opinion???

I am looking at moving into a bigger house in a couple of years and would like to know from yall what would be the perfect size piece of ground to garden on? I would like to be able to put up enough to last a family of four through the winter, if you can call it that anymore, in Southern Missouri. The Branson area to be exact. I am learning to can this year on the few veggies that I have. Beans and tomatos. I would like to be able to plant corn, squash, beans, cucumbers, tomatos, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, coliflour, bell peppers, hot peppers, garlic, onions, and have a little extra space for trying new things.
Thanks

WHat to grow for a family of four,

There's a permaculture outfit in CA, that feeds a family of 9 on a 1/4acre garden plot. If I can find the link I'll post it.

don't forget

small fruits! I put them right in my veg garden. They really pay for themselves. You can grow blackberries, raspberries (red and black), blueberries, grapes, strawberries, etc, in your area and probably a few I can't think of this morning. All for little upfront investment. They will really round out your diet.
