Pond crops?

Any veggie crops suitable for pond culture? The pond will also support fish, species not yet determined.
I know there is wasabi, rice, watercress... WOuld like to grow whatever I can in and on the pond banks. Maybe even rhubarb can take the constantly moist soil at the perimeter?
Thanks for any ideas.

The pond is 1/3 acre, silt bottom. There isn't as source of clean water coming in aside from the groundwater which is moving somewhat.

cattails.

they are veggie, flour, and crunchy snack. they grow anyywhere.

I used to fork up the roots and make flour, stir fry the young shoots (like bamboo shoots or water chestnut) and, when the tails are still green, you can biol them and eat em like corn on the cob.

not to mention all the stuff you can do with the non food parts of a catail plant.

I think you can eat sweet flag too. My geese just love it but I remember reading that people used to dig the roots.

Asparagus may do well near the pond.

Watercress.

Asparagus requires good drainage, so I don't think that would work.
