Technical Milking question?????

We just started using our milking settup on our goats, and I have a question concerning the surge lid. Is there supposed to be some sort of stopper between the lid and pulsator that would shut off vaccum if the bucket were to fill completely up? If you have the answer and could possibly post a picture of the solution, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your time, mdharris68

Haven't used one of those in years but when I did I had to run acid thru the vacuum line on a regular basis to clean the milk out that got sucked thru the pulsator.

the one I used on cows had a ball in it when it got full the ball would block the suction line.

the surge buckets we used did not have any check ball, or check valve. If the bucket over flowed, th emilk went right through the pulsator, and up into th evacume lines
