Anyone near Sikeston Mo. ?

I know they make a lot of trailers in that area, or used to. I've been looking for a 16 foot car hauler ( flatbed ) and the few places around this area that sell them seem to play games with the pricing. I called a place 30 miles away yesterday and he said he had 1 in stock for $1350.00. He said it was brand new and ready to go. I take cash and drive up there and find it with 1 low tire. I look and the tires are VERY used and he tells me new tires are 200.00 extra. Then he tells me it only has electric brakes on 1 axel and the law now requires them on both axels. The charge for that is another 115.00. I got mad and left. Just wondered of they are priced any better at the manufacturers in Missouri.

Call rice man. in Naylor Mo., where are you located?
I'm about 75mi. from there, Sikeston is one of the cheapest places to buy. Another good place is Springfield Mo. (Springfield tlr.?) Brother in Colorado bought his there 3 yrs ago 18' with brakes, dovtail, 7000 lb. axles for about 1200.
