Ha...quarter of an inch. The heavier stuff went west and south of us. It won't dent the drought, just make it more humid a few days here. Crops look better now, but they are scheduled to wilt again in a week. No rain and temps in the 90s in the next 7 days' forecast. The only thing that will fix this in this summer is a great big tropical storm system.

what end of the state are you in? it was still hit or miss in east tn- a few places got nothing, while others got up to 4 inches.

I am so jealous

I went to Nashville yesterday and watched it rain 24 miles from home.....It rained for 2hours! But when I got home - not a drop. We are so dry!!! I just keep watering the garden and it is going well though. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about grazing animals or putting up hay.

We got 3/4" here on the Plateau sure isn't a drought buster. Where are all those tropical storms/hurricanes?

On Monday evening we got .35" in a hard shower and then midday Tuesday we got 2.5" more. It helped our trees and yard look so much better. We were thankful for the rain and got more than most of the areas near us.

We are in NE Cannon Co. TnTnTn

Hi, I have a 4 month old kitten that has NEVER seen rain. He's actually only lived outdoors for a month. And I have a month old gosling who's NEVER experienced rain! It is so dry here in KY, hay will be very scarce this winter. Luckily we put up what we had in rolled bales (about 2/3 of what we got last year) and we bought much more to make up the difference. So we are okay. I know alot of people who will be in trouble though. Tuesday it got really dark and thundered alot. But it never rained at the house (it did in town though I am watering my garden every day or other day, but it's not doing the job. Rain is just better. I wish it would rain gently for a week! Take care all. Mary.

It is raining here >yawn< even as we speak. My new hobbies are watching the rain fall and watching the grass grow. Oh yes, and learning to enjoy my cabin fever.

Last summer was so dry our water delivery systems failed. I had to buy water not only to drink, but to fill the toilet tank.

Rather have rain than not...
