FL question- Ramrod Key?

Someone from Ramrod Key, Florida left a note at my door today enquiring if my land is for sale. EVERYTHING is for sale at the right price, I'm not settled into any permanancy here yet.

Is this a snooty island? Could this be my winning lotto ticket or is it more likely someone like myself looking for cheap land? Or can you tell by that location? I'm basically the complete opposite on the continent. But when I hear "Key" I think of exotic vacation on fancy island.

Thanks.

1) Many people do land spam so like you said it may be that

2) IMO Ramrod is not Snooty. I'd call it high end funky. I would really expect them to be selling. The area is Hurricane bait.

3) One of the most expensive resorts in the US is nearby. Otherwise it's "the keys" Yes the places are expensive, but don't judge a buyer by where they live.

We have friends, who own a local gas station in Northern California, who have a place near there. If it helps you and you need some info let me know and I can stop by and ask them some questions.

I have a few friends that live on Summerland key the next one down. Summerland is mostly real nice people I have found over the years. I know a few people on Big pine as well (2 keys above ramrod) and also find them to be mainly nice people, that live there. With that said no real clue about ramrod key. But with good people above and below it I would say the people where have a good chance of being good nice people :-)
I used to spend a few weeks a year down there (about 200 miles south of where i live) but have not for a couple of years now. Great diving in that area and Key West is not far away (20 some miles) for night life and such.

I get mail every week wanting to buy my land in Florida some are real estate agents others are FAKES (they are real estate agents trying to not act like real estate agents) they think by playing dumb they can buy it off of old people cheap and turn a profit. Only thing is they use terms and keywords real estate people use so its usually a dead give away. Most want to buy your land for much cheaper than its worth of course wouldnt we all like to get land for much less than what its worth LOL
I would check em out real close. I looked up one guys name and I wrote him back saying that I found out he was a real estate agent and that I would be reporting him to the board of realtors in his county. He apologized in another letter back to me saying he was not doing it as a real estate agent but he wanted it for his own personal use.
UH HUH not likely.
Anyway trust no one.
