I love to work

I really enjoy the satisfaction that comes from work. Unfortunately I don't like to work for money as it really takes away from the enjoyment when it places money per hour in the equation.

If you don't get paid and you enjoy it then technically it is called a "hobby". Nothing wrong with that.

We're pretty much the same way. We don't LIKE what we do (FICO score says you're good people.) But that FICO says you could pay yourself out of debt and then pay youself out of debt.

sound like you haven't found your calling for an occupation. I am self employed, build furniture and love working and getting paid. Maybe you don't dislike getting paid, just dislike your job.

Beeman my place could be heaven for you, plenty to keep you busy and if it would even make it better than no pay, I would let you pay me to do things around here.

NOW how could it get better than that.

Oh, No, I have first dibs on Charles and the Mrs. They can come HERE and work for nothing and enjoy the work! Hah. I enjoy what I do, too, although I don't get paid anything for it, just the satisfaction of 'farming' on a small scale! Jan in Co

I've got a trade/occupation or whatever you want to call it, I've had my own business. Whether it's working for myself or someone else the concept of being paid on productivity rather than quality is part of what I'm referring to.
As far as things to do I'm not looking for anyone else's work as I've got more than I'll ever get done in a lifetime to do already.

Actually a hobby is more like when you pay to work, much like homesteading.

When I was a kid my dad told me I was allergic to work and needed to see the doctor for my affliction. I actually believed him at the time but I grew out of my "allergy" over the years. But nowadays, I think it's an affliction nationwide for the youngfolks.

I used to work with an older man (WWII veteran) who the company wanted to get rid of due to age, etc. They wouldn't fire him since they were too cheap to pay unemployment so they would call him into the office and tell him all about how he was slow, etc. and try to get him to give up and quit.

He always told them, "I love my job, it's the work I hate"!
