Retro fitting a wood cook stove to gas?

Any instructions on how to turn a wood cook stove into a gas one? Is this a do-it-yourself project or only a gas professional? Any links on here about it already? Thank you.

My DH (who is highly skilled with handling natural gas) says....don't even think about it. The risks are much to high. The mixture must be very carefully set or you risk carbon monoxide poisoning. There are venting issues along with pressure regulation, ignition process, and flame control that must be very carefully engineered.

Can it be done? Maybe, by the right person. DH says he himself would not even entertain the idea. Sell the wood cook stove, and buy a gas stove.

God bless...

Dianne

There are cross over stoves out there for sale. When I was surfing ebay to find a cookstove I found a bunch of them. maybe $200 or so, depending on area of country. They use both wood and gas. Usually the gas is just for the burners, not the oven, tho.
