Right about now we could sure use a 3 day heavy sprinkle followed by 3 days of moderate rain!

I hope it keeps up for you.

I like a "she rain". That's a medium steady rain with no wind that nutures the ground. At this point it is just a memory. I went 6 inches down in last year's garden patch and still found dust. Went down to the new place yesterday, and the horse farm down the road in now bare dirt. All of the pasture is gone. I don't know what they are going to do. It is usually lush, rolling pasture..green, green, green. Now, dirt and dust from the hooves.

I'm scheduled for a week of vacation next week. It always rains on my vacations so anyone around the north central Kentucky area can thank me for the coming showers.

I'd like it to come down at night when I'm sleeping and go away during the day.

We'll take any rain we can get - though right now the ground is so hard and cracked a medium or lighter rain would be best. A hard rain couldn't sink in; it would just run off.

I like a slow, easy rain with the sun peaking through every now and then. Great for my gardens...This has been the best year...rain, then two days of sunshine, rain, then two more sunny days...it's been great for fruit trees and veggie garden.

We're so far behind on rain I'd like a nice slow moving tropical storm.

We usually get rain when Paul has hay down or right after I water the garden.

Yesterday, Paul mowed part of the 2nd pasture and I watered the garden.

Yup, got rain last night!!!

HOOORAY!!!

We missed any rain out of the storm system that came through last night. It's really dry here. I heard a rumor of two trees fighting over a dog!

We got a few big raindrops but as my dad says Big Drops Rain Stops and that held true....my rain gauge is essentially unused this year.

Well, James Dilley, did you get the rain that we sent you yet?

We have been pummelled up here near Ft. Hood. Last night alone we got about 5" of rain. I left work at 6:45pm and didn't get home until 10:20pm. The highway was backed up 10 miles due to a power line coming down on someone's vehicle and the backroads were impassable due to rain swollen creeks and pour drainage. I spent most of the evening at the airport, where I was safe, dry and with alot of people.

I do hope that you were able to get some rain, but not cursed like us where you get too much.
