Question New England Land....

I have a coworker looking to buy some land in New England. Right now he is looking at Main because of cost but he is open to any of the whole area. Other than Realtor.com can anyone suggest any good websites to find property on or maybe there is something near you that is for sale by-owner?
His criteria is....
- 5 acre minimum (hopefully 10+)
- within resonably distance of maintained road (gauranteed access)
- power close by (electric)
- No development (he want raw land)
- Under $35K
Any takers to tackle this request??

Land in NE

Youngone,

Here is the link to a couple of websites.

http://www.unitedcountry.com/Search_...m?SID=42448187

http://mooersrealty.com/

Both of these sites have some good listings. Seems like New York has some affordable land also.

I sold my property through Andy Mooer, he is a very nice and professional person. He sells land all over Northern Maine.

Andy Mooers IS a nice man, but he will also try to talk you into a smaller place than you really want, if you aren't careful. Go talk to him with a VERY clear idea of what you want, and don't let him show you anything that doesn't meet YOUR requirements.

www.cwalakestreetrealty.com. Kirk sells cheap land. He won't sell for more than he thinks a property is worth. I believe he is honest. Brought us some moose meat after we moved in. We are in unorganized territory. Free trash pick up. Low taxes. There is something about being unorganized that feels right to me.Lincoln Maine...up from Bangor.

Everything around here is 40+ acres forested, on paved road, with power / phone / DSL at the pavement, and runs from $350/acre to as high as $950/acre [for riverfrontage].

I do not know about smaller pieces of land without riverfrontage. I can refer you to the guy that I bought land from, he has four pages of properties for sale, but he will not list with any realtor.

Vinal at http://acresaway.com/ up in Howland is real nice too.

He keeps a vehicle parked at the airport with keys on the visor for any folks coming into the area to borrow if they need to while in the area.

Their very friendly.
