muddy water

Well water is muddy father-in-law ran D9 tractor to close to well and we believe it pushed mud into bottom of well.
Question; what can I do to fix problem?

Couple of years ago mine started to run muddy & I was told to run the water constantly for a couple days. I did that & it cleared up.

Is this a dug well or a drilled well?

Have FIL drink water till the well is clear.
I'm not sure, but I believe that adding lime will settle the mud.

It is drilled.

I have been told to pull it up about two feet and that would work also but I'm not sure if this is good information.

It will clear up in a few days. Just be patient.
