Home made soap books?

I'm looking into making soap and a friend has given me a couple of lovely recipes to try with my goats milk. I wonder if anybody can recommend a good book on the subject, I'm after a book that describes the old fashioned natural method, rather than one that involves buying the ready made base that you just melt into a mould.

Many thanks.

One book that is sure to come up is Cavitch's - I don't particulary like that one.

Actually there are wonderful websites/forums available about soap making.

I have a simple page with pictures and supplier links

kathy Miller's site is wonderful resource. http://www.millersoap.com/

I agree that this is a good book, other than the fact that in the preliminaries she has adding water to lye instead of lye to water. NEVER!!! add water to lye always add lye to water!

Thank you everyone, some great links given here and I'm off to view the books too. I can't wait to get started now. I'll let you know when I make some. x
