Speaking of tractors ...

From: http://www.minotdailynews.com/news/a...rticleID=10588

NEW ROCKFORD – Some young men escort their dates to the high school prom in a muscle car. Some hire a limousine. Levi Rue showed up to collect his date, Alissa Bachmeier, Saturday night in a 1992 green John Deere 8760 tractor.

When we were married we rode off on my dad's John deere A (I can't remember the year) My husband drove and I rode on the back hitch thing. My dad was so proud!

If I was the date I would have been impressed! That is a real nice high dollar machine right there. ROFL....don't know how lucky the guy will get in the back seat after the prom though!

That's cool! Last year on senior skip day, the boys (and some of the girls!) from our local high school all got their dad's tractors and had an tractor parade through town and past the school. It was too cute!

A friend of mine told me how when he lived in a small town in Indiana they had a bring your tractor to school day sort of thing...I was new to this country and found that VERY funny.

The tractor probably cost more than a lot of the fancy cars...

OZ - Yup, at least here in 1980's Indiana the FFA chapters (Future Farmers of America) often had AG Day at the high school. You'd bring in your animals, a tractor or two, combines, etc and have a combination parade and fair. It made for a good excuse to get out of class for a day!!!!

As to the original post, I guess I've finally made it to redneck since I didn't see anything wrong or unusual! LOL!

Take Care,
Mike
