Update - hardwood floor pics

Sorry for the delay. Weekend before last, a storm knocked out the power for 8 hrs and we had to return the rented air nailer. The nailer was rented out until this past Saturday. Still need to do the molding.

Very nice job! We're getting ready to do our family room with hardwood. We found a sawmill about an hour away ran by 2 elderly sisters that makes hardwood flooring from several different native trees. It is hard to choose, but the hickory is my favorite. My wife will have the final say.

Very nice! My dream is to be able to re-do our family room and dining room with hardwood. We had beautiful new carpet, but after a few months of working for a large-breed dog rescue group, it was destroyed.

looks great. I like the natural variation in the wood tones.

That looks super. Great choice in wood.

I like it, too! LOL

We spent years thinking about doing it. Couldn't afford it. Then one day saw an ad for a surplus liquidation store, $1.99/square foot. We kept visiting and they never had enough square footage of one color for us to do the whole room. It's a 19 foot by 15 foot room. They had this cherry about a month before we starting installing it and we took it home since there was enough to finish the room plus an extra box and we included the 16 square feet where the woodstove is. So we should have had losts extra. NOT. Talk about nervous! We had two pieces of 8 inch X 2 1/4 inch left over.

Get extra if you do it! You can always return it. (Unless you get it from a liquidation place like we did. They don't take returns. All sales final.) We would have had to pay $10.50/square foot and special order from another flooring store to match it.

DH had to see a chiropractor tonight. It was hard work, but worth the savings. Right now we're too tired and sore to be thrilled yet!
