Tractor blowing hydrostatic filter

We bought a used Ford 1215 tractor. It is a 4WD hydrostat. It has a engine oil filter, hydralic(sp) filter and a hydrostat filter. We canged all the fluids when we bought it.It has blown 3 hydrostat filters since. Anyone know why it would be doing this. We ruled out overfilling.

What's the hydraulic filter like? If it's plugged, it could feedback pressure to the other one.

Did it also blow the filter that came on the tractor? If not, then you must have the wrong filter. If it blew the original filter along with the replacements then I would verify that the correct filter was on the tractor from the get go. Are these Ford brand filters? Do the filters blow under just start up and idle or do they blow under specific circumstances? Are the filters leaking at the mate up between the filter and the housing or are the filter canisters bursting? You do not have an old O-ring left on and now have 2 O-rings where there should be only 1 ?

If you have the proper filter the only other thing that I can think of is the return line is stopped up.

there is a relief valve that must be stuck or bad filters either way you need a preasure gage to check it out best bet if you are using oem filters is to find a tractor mech. if the preasure blows something else it could be dangerious.

Hey.

If the filter is right, maybe you used the wrong fluid.
