Horse Logging Demonstration sw VA

Just thought I'd pass this along incase any of you are within driving distance.

Sunday March 24th our local horse logger is going to be giving a demonstration and talk on sustainable forestry practices.

WooHoo, I was just up in Floyd yesterday getting compost from (shameless plug) Seven Springs Farm (they are a CSA and sell soil admendments). Bee-you-ti-ful country, wish I could afford to live there.

I need to check out Seven Springs. It's not too far from us.

There's still so much we haven't even looked at yet, Always trying to finish up a project.

Yes, it really is beautiful country. We were fortunate to find our dream before prices skyrocketed. If we were in the same position we were a couple of years ago I don't think we could afford to move here now.

We like to camp in that area--very beautiful. We usually camp at Meadows of Dan and then venture out to those parts on the motorcycle. Seems like EVERYthing is for sale up there! Makes us wonder where everyone is moving to? If I lived there, I wouldn't want to move.
