Duct Tape, Baler Twine or ??

What is your #1 do-it-all tool? I would be totally lost without baler twine. It is the miracle all-purpose-fix-it-all item. It is a sad day when I find my coat pocket empty with no baler twine when I need it. I use it for holding gates shut, fixing fence, makeshift halter, use it as a "saw" to cut twine off other bales, tying feed bags closed, tie around an open square bale to keep the flakes from becoming spread all over the place. You name it. That stuff is gold. I know there are some that swear by duct tape. I do appreciate the value of the grey goodness of duct tape, but it is often too cold for it to work well outside and its loses its stickiness. Those microfibre cloths you can find at the Dollar Store are another handy-do-it-all type materials to have on hand for all sorts of cleaning, patching and padding needs around home.

What is your "top took of the trade" that you'd be lost without? What are some unconventional uses for those everyday odds n' ends around your farm?

550 paracord... holds just about anything from a dog to a horse in a pinch. Now that new gorilla tape is pretty good too... but costly.

I use that Sumo glue a lot.. like Gorilla glue only dries quicker and doesn't foam as much.

Oh! And what about those bungee straps (rubber with a hook on each end). Those things are handy for securing pails, panels, gates, etc. Handy dandy.

I like twine and duct tape...also,those plastic tie straps,I keep a package of those around. I love Gorilla Glue, that stuff will hold anything. Right now,I have a knock off leatherman tool that's really handy. I also like those screwdrivers with interchangeable tips.

PB Blaster. Nothing loosens rusted bolts like it does.

Then Nevr-Seize. Nothing keeps the bolt from rusting back in when you replace it like it does.
