I've got about 1/4 mile of pipe fence down with a top rail welded in place. I'm ready to stretch some wire out but was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a cheap retainer clip to weld on the pipe.

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for---but if you are looking for something to hang the wire on---then you are going to use wire to tie it off----I would get some self-tapping screws with a big head and screw it most of the way into the pipe---leaving enough to hang the wire on---then tie the wire off with heavy wire----Leave the welder at the house.
