Smile New stone knobs...

Soneone (dont ask who LOL) asked for some pictures of the stone knobs which resulted from our trip to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show last month. Please forgive me it has taken me this long to remember how to post a photo! Sis
This first is Malachite

Second one is Chryscolla

Third one is Sugilite (actually the most expensive of the three.)

Also got some Orthoceras that I thought would make great drawer pulls.

New stones not pictured include medium dark purple amethyst, botswana agate, picture jasper, kambamba jasper, and obsidian! Gonna be having some fun this year for sure! Sis

Sisterpine, those are beautiful! Are they partially drilled or are they glued onto the part that goes on the doors of the cabinets.
If they're glued, how do they take humidity in places like bathrooms?

I love Malachite, Ocean & Leopard Jasper , ok I love all rocks. :baby04:

Answers-- the stones are drilled with a special diamond bore drill bit before the stem is mounted inside the stone with heat set epoxy. Have had some in a humid sauna for over 5 years with no trouble yet. No trouble in very dry places yet either. Stones are gathered from all over, not just montana. Not moving to nevada YEA!! staying on the mountain. Prices range from low of 8.99 for unpolished clark fork river stones to 16.99 for the 6" orthoceras. Most semi precious stones are in the 10.99-11.99 range. Hope that got them all. Glad to hear ya all like them , they are such fun to do!

feel free to visit my updated website at www.montanasticksandstones.com to see all 30 or so varieties available with prices and photos.

Very beautiful!!!

I have a backyard full of marble, all different kinds and colors, as well as many other 'rocks'. Bill is a stone sculptor, so we have lots of stone around. Will have to keep that in mind to decorate my own cabinets with.

The only marble on your site that I saw was zebra marble. We have some black morracan marble that is kind of similar to that. More black than white, tho.

We know several people who go to the Tucson Gem & Mineral show and even sell their "rocks" there.
