Getting back to the country!
Hubby and I are finally getting back to having some elbow room again! We sold our 6 acre homestead 4 years ago (too far out, health issues, and financial) and since then have bought and renovated 3 homes in town, kept 1 duplex for a rental unit all while looking for another property. Of course being so much closer to town also means about 4x the price, so we had a lot more $ to save, but we finally found our new homestead! A little over 6 acres, 10 minutes to a small town and about 40 to the city, nice really well built home with 2 woodstoves, no outbuildings, fencing or gardens though. We will have a busy but fun summer. Hubby is really looking forward to fresh eggs again, and I am definately getting back into goats. The hardest thing I did when we sold the farm was sell my best Nubian girls, I was just seeing the results of my hard work. We close March 19 and I have been planning, planning, planning!
