Dorky scammers

Poor things should take an English class before they try to scam people. We posted some land for sale on the internet a couple of hours ago.. Here is an "interested buyer":

Quote:
Good Day, I have just seen your ad, and it fits what i have been
searching for i am currently not in your country,to be precise i'm
Germany on a business trip, and i will handle shipment . I'ld like to
know if you accept money order or a certified cashiers check as method
of payment.Sorry if this gets to you but if i may ask,is this your
personal property? cos' i dont want to involve myself with stolen
properties for sale.what is the condition like? Please reply with your
full name, contact address, phone number, fax and pro0f of ownership if
any,so that i cancommence payment immediately if it is still
available. Please respond SAP. Have a nice day
REGARD marion seyi
And my reply:

Quote:

Yourr name Is Germany? Co0l, that's a country too ya know! well, i must say I w1ll need the bank acacount number to transfer of fundss pirior to the shipmant of the lland.

-Land stealers (my name is not SAP)

P.S. Regarding what?

I still don't understand how some people can believe those things and be had by the scammers. It's nuts! By the way, great reply.

You should have inquired if they only wanted the top couple of inches over the entire surface or were they interested in a foot or more of it!!!

And regarding shipping..... did they want it sent in baggies or were they going to send over the dump trucks???

Yeah, we get them all the time. But you're not supposed to reply to them. If you reply, they know it's an active email address, and you'll just get so much more spam. I am getting allot of phoney paypal spammers, saying I bought things. BUT, they are not real. They look real but they are not. I report them.

In Re. to Ebay and PayPal, you should forward them to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com. We used to get a lot for both of them also, now we get them for Third Fifth National Bank... Never had an account with them, had to do a search on them to even find out if it was a real company.. We did forward the first couple to their IT dept. but just delete them now..

I like the ones you get that says you are some long lost relative or you they are contacting you because they can't find the relatives of some rich geezer that just passed away....these emails just "crack me up" and to think there are people that believe them...

And we all wonder why there are problems in America....

Oh, we couldn't get any more spam than we already do.

I don't think these "nigerian scam" people produce live email databases on top of their scamming, though it's possible. I say, spam em back. They have to get out their little english dictionaries and try to figure it out. I'll waste a little of their time.

I suspect it was a scammer or a spammer fishing for an active e-mail address and you gave it to them by responding.

I read a message on another board once and the person said that they replied back asking for a very small amount of money as a sign of good faith, whatever the person could afford. He claimed that he had replied to many and that it works. He claimed he made almost $750.
