If Alaska is your dream...

This may be your ticket:

I have been blessed most of my life, and now it's time to give some of it back. I am the owner of ten acres of land on the Kenai Peninsula, 25 miles from Homer, and two miles from the Russian village of Nikolaevsk, on the North Fork Road. The property is rural but not remote; has a year round drivable trail, no electricity (but I have some solar power, and a 5kw gas generator that could service basic needs of two households), no phone (except mobile). I am offering two acres of land to artistic individual, young couple, or family. This is an absolutely free offer; my only terms are that you construct your dwelling and make it your permanent residence (I like to choose my neighbors). The land is muskeg, but buildable ~ I have recently retired and am in the process of building a very large home on it and have had no problems. This property offers fantastic views of Cook Inlet and four volcanoes (Douglas, Augustine, Illiamna and Redoubt) as well as much wildlife. Send email with desire to build and to relax in peace and quiet(inherent laziness is a plus). Send email stating qualifications to: tedric@gci.net I will send photos and other info.

Wow...I think I know pretty much the area you are talking about...we used to drive from Anchorage to Homer and all the little roads we could find...It is really a beautiful place. Someone with the ability to check into this really should...Good luck finding the right neighbors.

Craigslist is self policed by the submitters. Oftentimes they get zealous and spam everything out. It happens alot on animal sales. For example the orginial Craigslist in California bans animal sales but allows it to happen elsewhere but everyone thinks animals shouldn't be sold, etc. To be fair, alot of animals for sale are for sale because of moving or because of stupid reasons, etc.

Sorry guys, I wasn't online much last week. This ad was flagged off as TedH71 explained. It might be a scam or it might just be what TedH71 said - overzealous flaggers. You could try contacting the OP by the email given (not the CL email - it won't work if the ad has been flagged down) if you're still interested.

I know of other property for sale up here now too (Mat-Su area especially).

LOL it sounds a lot like my old place. two miles from the russian village mostly swamp But buildable.
Area got eaten up by spruce beetles and of course with those wonderful religouis old fashioned neighbors you have to lock everthing up tight.

fantasymaker - you mean the first one I posted about, not the second, right? Nowhere near a Russian Village here and no swamp.
