Weather Check In

ZYG's post on the snow got me to wondering. How are people doing in other parts on the country and the world as far as that goes? Especially New York, can you believe 12' of the white stuff?
It is 9:25am here in the sunny(?) south with a dusting of snow and 26 degrees. The weather gods are predicting single digits for us this weekend. Where's global warming when you need it, this is supposed to be the south.

-9 here last night, then it started rising and is up to 3 above! We have light snow and 5 inches on the ground. No wind, which is a blessing.

Heavy snow and wind. We got at least another foot overnight, possibly more in areas around us. Current temp is 9F. Hubby Joe's tire tracks disappeared in the driveway. All area schools are closed today. And Bingo at the K of C is cancelled tonight

ETA: the wind is coming from the east again, which makes the computer room cold. Both wood stoves are puffing away. Good day for soup.

At least a foot and a half, just east of Binghamton, NY blizzard conditions because the wind has come up. I've seen ONE plow since I got up at 6 am apparently my road isn't a priority. The power's still on tho...for now anyway.

It's 10:45 am here (approx. 25 miles Northwest of Boston MA) and it's snowing at the moment with some good gusty winds. We had a light snow/freezing drizzle earlier. About 3 inches on the ground at the moment. It's 15F without the windchill added in.
Schools are all closed and they say this is only the begining. Should get snow/mix until midnight tonight.

Fifteen inches of snow here in west central Ohio along with a temperature of 16 degrees right now. There is a windchill advisory posted until tomorrow making it between 10/15 below zero. The plows parked at about 7pm last night to get some rest and then came back out at about 7 this morning. Just got our driveway plowed out---it looks like a tunnel now. Everybody stay safe and warm.

Well, we finally got our snow! As of 8:00 this morning we had 5". Now we are getting close to 10". We are supposed to get 2 - 3 feet by the time it moves out. They have upgraded us from a heavy snow warning to a blizzard because of the winds we will be getting later on. This afternoon we're supposed to get 4 - 5" of snow an hour!

We're going to push the snow off the front porch roof here shortly then snow blow the driveway and the walks. We'll have to do the same later on this evening and then again tomorrow morning. The temp right now is 12 but the wind chill is well below 0.

Three degrees above zero and sunny here today. We missed by a hair the big blizzard in Indiana and Ohio, except for the high winds. What little snow we did get is piled up in drifts where ever there was something to break the wind from the north. Suppose to warm up by Saturday all the way to 28 degrees. We're shearing the ewes on Saturday, makes for a long day when it's cold. Predicting 30's on Monday and Tuesday so the sheep will be hanging in the barn. Got to love the Michigan winters. Good luck to you folks that got socked yesterday, and your folks in New York, wow, hang in there.

About 4 inches of snow and then a bunch of freezing rain last yesterday and a couple more inches of snow on top of that, about 16° and windy here today. My only major complaint is that my (sliding) barn door froze in the bottom track so I dumped a bunch of salt in it. Other than that, I was glad to get a couple days off school! They rarely close colleges for weather.
