..............I'd say $10 to $15 a running foot . Most fence builders are going to gravitate too the "longer" jobs because that is where they make their living . Small footage jobs , while profitable , will cost more per foot for the same reason that a quart of milk costs more than a gallon .
...............Potential customers use to play a game with me........of.......well we're gonna build 8,000 feet of Post and toprail fence so I'd give them a price of say 10 per foot . Then , after I'd quoted them a price for 8k feet they'd say , Well , we only need 800 feet to get started for now !!! BS , so I'd quote two prices to cover both situations......fordy...

Last time we priced the smaller 2" pipe, it was 65 cents a foot. That's been a few years ago though.
I'm guessing this is the kind of pipe fence you mean.

Most pipe fence needs to be painted quite frequent.Like every year or two.

We paint ours about every 7 to 10 years, but I do use a primer first, I think that makes it last longer.
I use a car wash mitt to paint it so I can wrap my hand around the pipe. It goes quick that way.

Are you useing new or used to make it? Most of the ones that I have been seeing are from used pipe. The price is vastly divernt for used or new.

Man, cowgirlone I want YOUR fence! LOL

Around here pipe fences are EXPENSIVE unless you can weld it yourself (and even then they are spendy to do RIGHT). Lots of folks build them half-a**ed and then wonder why they have injuries or break-downs.

Around here the pipe fences I've seen are left to rust to color, but they don't necessarily look bad.

It sure isn't going anywhere, that sucker is heavy duty.
It's about 16 years old and made out of used pipe.
(we do our own welding)

Here in NorthWestern New Mexico, a local hardware/lumber company occasionally has this pipe (2 1/2 to 3 inch diameter) (used) on sale for approx. $2.00 per foot. I believe it is in 20 foot lengths. It is often available in areas where oil/water drilling is common.

just to give you some sort of perspective on price,
Good Luck!
Bruce
