Giant Sequoia
Mountaineer.......I used to live near Duvall, Washington. About 1 mile south of Duvall where I turned off the main highway(big rock road) there were two giant sequoias. Both were over 100 feet tall. I lived 5 miles east of there and planted one. When I moved from there in 1992 it was doing fine. The weather there does get to the single digits sometimes. From there I moved north of Seattle and west of Marysville, Washington. I planted four of them(gallon size) and they were doing fine when I left there in 2000. One of them grew 18 inches in one year. Been thinking about planting some where I live now. The weather here is a little bit colder then the other two places I mentioned. I am not sure where you live but I think they will do fine.
Hope this helps.
