Lightbulb New Forum Idea- CONSTRUCTION

I think it would be a good idea to have a new forum within this board to discuss construction techniques and issues. I have seen a lot of postings lately that could fall within that category. Whether one is restoring an old farmhouse (such as myself), building a log or straw bale home, a new barn or fixing an old one, it would be a good idea to have one place to come to to discuss these istems and share ideas or even just show off a project. After all, what is homesteading without the home??

Country Construction would cover a broad range of items that are touched on in many other Forums. Bet it would evolve into a place where the members that are knowledgeable and construction pros would check in and hang out. My know-how in this area is broad but mighty shallow in places. A Forum that would lend access to decades of experience in all the trades would sure be helpful. Thanks for the suggestion Paul..Glen

I agree

But heck people will still post in the two main groups (cause more people will see it" claim. we have a shop talk and I see a lot of topics that belong in there, out here in HT. If people would use the correct location to post, I am sure it would help with answers and such.
you figure when I go into alternative energy I am looking to maybe help some person out. or ask a question myself.. knowing that the ones looking in there have the same interest.

Add my vote. I'm about to start construction on 4 cabins and a barn. I can use all the help/advice/info/derision that I can get.

There are certainly enough questions about such things to warrant another board, hope it is taken under consideration by the staff.
