If city people think we are so stupid why are they so scared of us? - Homesteading Questions
Me from the cab of my big truck looking down on the roof of her little car.On a slight rise in the middle of a flooded river bottom. In the dark
"The waters to deep for you to get thru"
Her
"Ive got to get thru"
Me
Laughing "Aint gonna happen hunny"
Her
"Im going thru"
Me LOL
"NO,Really you cant get thru I can give ride wherever your going"
Her looking scornfull
"Id NEVER ride with you,You might be a rapest or killer or something"
Me wondering what the somthing was,
"Well then you will have to try to get back that way"
She gives me the bird and floors it.

NOW I sit there in amazment .
She had to have seen me comng thru and have a clue how deep it is,its MILES to the other side.
So I sit there wondering how long it will be till I see her backup lights come on.....WHEN THEY DISAPPEAR!
I spin it around and blast out there as fast as I can hoping to save her from drowning in the DEEP ditches.
Lucky the car isnt in way deep but its deep .But she got out.
Me sitting in truck,
"Get them clothes off afor ya get in here"
Her standing there in a white(silk?) Shirt and skirt that are now TOTALLY see thru.
"No way am I riding with you" (between sobs)
Me
"Goodlord gal Its cold out here you cant stay here!"
Her
"Im not taking my clothes off"
Me "Thats ok get in the back"
her standing there
more standing
more standing
Me
"ok Im gonna leave"
her
"YOU CANT JUST LEAVE ME HERE!"
Me
"Your choice get in the back or take your clothes off and get in the front or stay"
She climbs in back
a mile later on before we get to dry land she knocks on the window
I stop she jumps out and befor I can ask if she wants to walk from there shes naked and in the frount.
2 miles later we finally hit dry land I stop and while shes screamming about rape and such Get my coveralls outa the backseat for her.
Take her home 50 miles she gets out and walks in the house without a word of thanks.
Next day remeber my coveralls run down and take a pic of her car for her then drive to her place and give her the pic and ask for my coveralls back
Her
"I threw them out"
Me
"Where?"
Her
" in that dumpster"
I dive in after them ...AND GET THEM
Her
"you would goin the trash for clothes?"
Me
"Carharts"
Then left did I do her wrong?

You done good, baby. She woulda froze in those wet things. Naked and near the heater was much better till she thawed out. Sounds like somebody is way too spoiled to appreciate a good man. If you're single, I got a daugher I want you to meet.

I don't think much of any man who would tell a woman she needed to strip naked before she could get in his vehicle. I sure wouldn't want him for a son-in-law.

Ditto.

But oh no, can't get the pretty truck seat damp... (mind you, hubby had a gorgeous blue '66 Chevy Step-side, and would NEVER dream of being so, well... creepy)

LOL She was a more naked than a wet Tshirt contest anyway and I did let her in the back. She had the chance to get in dressed before she gave me the bird and got soaking wet. That truck has a custom leather interior worth quite few thousand bucks and I really didnt see a need to ruin it because she was stupid.

NINN I thought your daughter was getting married?

did good

I don't think that you did wrong. I don't think that I would have minded getting naked, better than dying of pneumonia.
She is really stupid to try and drive somewhere when, someone is in that large of a truck. She lucky she walked away from the car in the first place.
How old was she anyway???
I'd be diving for those Carhart's also.

Blessings,
Debi

I disagree

I think he offered her help more than once by telling her not to go down there. But she DIDN'T listen. Dumb chick
The worst thing is if you hadn't stayed and still waited to help, she would have caused trouble cause you DIDN'T help. Your truck would be easy to find.

I still think that you did good.

Blessings,
Debi

If ya think the splach off my truck in the avatar is a good one I bet the one that night was 5 times that.Deeper water and I was going as fast as I could till I got the end of the car in my headlights

Why would anyone own a truck they couldn't or wouldn't get wet and dirty on the inside?

Cause its such a great place to stand when your driving a 10 foot post in the ground.
It actually belongs to the young man in the picture who can certainly afford to own it for non dirty purposes.
