Who is freezing their A off tonight?

It is supposed to get into the upper 20's tonight here in California, which is about like hitting that temperature in Orlando would be.

We are not built, equipped, or prepared for that kind of cold weather around here.

I'm freezing my behind off.

Anybody else out there freezing, or are all the other frostbitten people cold because their power is still out so they have no internet access?

addendum: if it is going to be this ** cold, then it could at least have the decency to *snow* and make things pretty!

Just don't bring your grill indoors like some people did in Seattle...

Stay warm as best you can. Do you have heat of any sort?

I have electric space heaters. Right now I'm cowering with the cat in the smallest room of the house trying to stay warm. The cat, at least, has an electrically heated 4W cat bed. He's glued himself to it.

Funny.

It is 9 degrees right now and that is not so bad. It got all the way up to 24 today and I fed the cattle with no coat on. The sun felt nice.

Two weeks ago I was pretty tickled when it topped out at -2 ( yea thats a minus ). It was 18 degrees higher than the low for the night. We only stayed that way for 4 or 5 days.

unseasonably warm in the northland. It was above freezing temps again today. By this time in December we should be having a good snowcover and below zero nights to form good lake ice. So far, barely 3 inches of snow coat the ground and nights are in the teens. This is warmer than last year, and that was an unusually warm late fall/early winter. We paid for it in May with well below normal temps. Looks like it again this year.

I mowed the lawn yesterday morning and then it snowed. It should be colder and more snow.

It's been in the 30's-40's continuously here in Northen NYS. The last few days it's dipping below freezing at night. WAY warmer than normal, and there is no snow on the ground at all. Funny weather we're all having!

It is 11 right now. I was going to start hammering out side when it reached 20, but the temp has go down from 12 from the time I got up. Looks like a cold day to build outside.

I'm freezing my A, B, C, D, E, F and G off... But that's expected here this time of year.

I am afraid that if you wish for snow, however, it won't really be pretty for very long. Around here, when it snows, it's pretty for a day or so. Then it gets all full of salt and sand and dirt and it's piled up in these big hills and it just looks icky.

Sorry you're going through such an unusually cold snap; hope it warms up soon!

Pony!

LOL! I guess I am used to cold weather nowadays. I just went outside earlier this morning to feed the furnace some wood, and had nothing on but my nightgown and a light jacket. Stayed out for a good half an hour and just stood taking in the fresh air and checking things out. I thought it felt kind of nice.

Temperature at that time: 23 degrees.

Maybe my nerve endings are all dead and I just don't know it?

I wish some of that cold weather would come this way. I have three snowmobiles and no snow to ride them on. I am fed up with all this global warming. I have been running around in a light jacket as it has been up to 50 some days here. That is just wrong for winter in Wisconsin.
