The concret slab was poured this morning!!!

Woo HOO!!
The slab for our barn-partment was poured this morning and the plumbing was inspected yesterday and approved(obviously.. ).He took pics of the slab being poured(how exciting it must of been.. ) for us so we can document the progress

The builder is supposedly starting in the next day or two(he has actually been pushing for the job to start NOW).

We are going up this weekend most likely and of course take pictures and post some...

Now if all goes well we should have us a dried in building the first of the year.

HOORAY!!!!!

If we could we would move there as soon as the barn was habitable...

But reality gets in the way...we are going into DEBT to do this.

Once the barn-partment is dried in we will start doing stuff ourselves and getting things done so we can move up there,we just needed a place to stay and store stuff instead of staying in hotels and haulung everything back and forth.

It would be nice...REALLY nice to be up there before I turn the big 40....that is December of next year...hmmm that isn't very long

I promise you we will bor ey'all to tears with our pics and posts....LOL

On a sadder note,we will also have to write a couple of checks to pay for the work....

And the builder is taking pic's for us too.

Have you decided yet whether it's gonna be a pole barn or stick built?

Debt, yuck!

Good luck on your adventure, it's only just begun!

Stick built.

The 'problem' arose because when we changed the plan to 30' wide instead of 36' wide the room with the plumbing obviously changed as well(one of the downstairs rooms)...well we redrew the plans and didn't mark where the supports for the upper floor would be so the builder and the concrete guy being VERY literal took it to mean we didn't WANT any supports in that part of the barn...it was all a misunderstanding and it seems to be going pretty smoothly now.

The debt part is 'yack' but it is the only way we can get something there at this point...

After it is built and we settle down some we will hopefully change to a 'pay as you go' plan.

Or perhaps sell the house here and run for the hills...

Thank y'all for all your help over the long struggle to get a place on our land.

Mrs oz is VERY happy that we are on our way.
