How pretty!

I'm in NE Arkansas and we didn't get anything except the drop in temperatures. 5am temp was 19 according to my yard thermometer.
I was hoping for some snow at least!

I'll trade you, I hate frozen precip. Its pituresque, but PITA to do anything in. Have to admit though that I lived in a mini VERY HEAVY SNOW BAND when I was in UP of MI. I got lifetime of snow in just a few years.

frozen precipitation

Hey, Hermit. I'm in central Missouri but my MIL lives in Ft. Smith. She called to say they had about an inch of snow but the schools were open. She also was checking on me since we had that storm roar through as well. I have around a foot of snow in my yard with deeper drifts but the worst of it is that underneath is about 1/4" of ice and 1 1/2" of sleet. The doors of my truck are frozen shut. I am going out in a while--after the county has plowed our road--and hopefully can start our old tractor to clear the driveway, the parking area and some pathways from the house to the barn and hoop houses. The temperature right now is 16o. I was born and raised in the South but I've lived most of my adult life in Missouri. THIS IS FOR THE BIRDS--which reminds me, I need to fill the feeders when I get the clearing done.

Hope everybody is warm and cozy today. Our Pyrs didn't even venture out in the storm last night which is fine with me.

Hey John, has it affected the power? Freezing rain can sometimes knock us out for a week or more. Thankfully, we don't get too much of that, and the snow doesn't seem to bother the power too much...when we get snow.

We were right on the line. To the south and east of here by 2 miles even the snow starts getting deeper by the mile. 30 miles as the crow flies and they got 12 inches. Here we got a dusting but did get that nasty door freezing ice 30th am.

It blinked the lights once last night and made me restart dvd player as I was watching a movie. When I first moved here electric could be off for couple weeks at a time. Anymore they usually have it up again within 3 days.
