Mistletoe

I found a big batch of mistletoe. How do I find out who would by such a thing so I can grab a bit of extra cash for christmas?

You can sell it in bunches to flower shops to use in their arrangements or find places that sell Christmas trees (they usually want it in small clumps with a ribbon tied around it).

Bet you could sell it on Ebay if you made some "kissing balls" out of it...or just sold it in bunches.

I spotted some yesterday that I think I can reach. I always have mistletoe in my house at Christmas.

I never really thought to research mistletoe at all, but wow! That is one interesting plant!

Try an ad in the local paper. We have it here but it is in the tops of 100 foot tall oak trees. We shoot it out with a shotgun every year. That may increase your harvest. Never thought of selling it though. Good luck.

When my kids were little they climbed trees & got bunches of mistletoe, tied them in baggies or plastic wrap-I don't remember-& sold them at a card table in front of the grocery store.

Patty

PS-they didn't get rich, tho.

The kids here offer it in restaurant & grocery store parking lots (At least until they're discovered & made to leave, Bah Humbug) in baggies or tied in bunches. It's become rather a tradition, they're usually polite & only charge a dollar or two.

My girls sell it some years with ribbons attatched so it can be hung up. We have a ton this year so my husband is going to be shooting some down and they will tie it bunches and walk around the holiday market I am doing for this month and sell it out of a basket. They charge $1.
