Safety Issue-microwave/dryer?

Would There Be A Safety Issue If I Had My Microwave Oven Set On Top Of My Clothes Dryer? I Recently Moved Into A Much Smaller Place And Need The Space.

Thanks,

Mum

I don't see how that could cause a problem unless you ran the dryer and the micro at the same time. Blown fuse is about al I can think of.
Maybe the dryer could shake the micro off and it could land on your foot!
I say go for it!

No, there shouldn't be any problems that I can see. Just make sure your dryer doesn't wobble around too much - and that you have a good plug in - I'm not sure what the rules are concerning a microwave running on an extension cord.

good luck

The Dryer Is On 220. And The Microwave Could Easily Reach The Nearest 110 Plug- In Outlet On Its Own Cord. The Space Is The Short End Of An "L" Shaped Kitchen. It Contains, Washer, Hot Water Heater And Dryer. I Will Test The Dryer For Wobble By Placing A Hammer On It Next Time I Use It.

Thanks For Replies.

There is the danger of making a mixup and drying last nights pizza and microwaving your underwear... but other than that I think you're good.

Hey, this ain't no joke. New driers are actually coming out using microwaves for drying. Supposed to be more efficient...

Try COMBINING your washer and dryer-check www.compactappliances.com for combo washer/dryer...
and yes, www.metaefficient.com featured a shangai inventors waterless laundry machine that cleaned clothes with ionized air...
