Info on stucco mix.

Back in the '50's my dad had two old time carpenter's help him build buildings on the farm. They used stucco on the outside of these buildings. These buildings still look good after all these years...talk about tough and weather resistant. Does anyone know how stucco was mixed....and what ratio of sand, lime, etc....
I would like to repair some of these old buildings..thanks...it could be a lost art.

the easy way is to use masonary cement and mix 3 to 1, not to wet and not to dry,

Your local building supplier has or can get stucco mix and all the instructions you need. It's easier than working concrete.
