Dumb ? of the Day: Can you color PVC pipe?

I'm making Marshmallow Guns for my sons for Christmas and I'd like a way to personalize them so we can tell which gun belongs to which boy. The guns are made out of 1/2 inch PVC pipe and I'm wondering if there's any way to paint them or color them somehow. I'd like the paint to stay on for more than a day!

Thanks!
Tonya

There is a paint called Fusion that supposedly stays on PVC. I would still scuff the plastic first.

DS has one of those guns. Ton's of fun. WE picked his up at a festival and the way they were "colored" was the maker used various colors of electrical type tape.

Or, you could use the new Krylon fusion spray for plastic.

I have a drain pipe that is colored black and brown from white with fusion paint. scuffed it very slightly and the paint has held up outdoors for two years.

My husband bought me a nice metel yard stick a few years back. He also made me a nice PVC holder for it (to help it stay true). He just painted it with Big Lots "spray paint of the month". Three years later it's fine (but it doesn't get the same "love" that your marshmallow gun will get from the boys).

They make Duct tape in different colors too. You can stripe them different colors.

Had me Googling that one. Looks like fun. Noticed most folks spray painting theirs. Think ill run out and get the parts to make the kids some tomorrow. (And some safety glasses!) Thanks for the idea!
