cabin photos

Here are some photos of the cabin I built. When I got started it had no interior, no walls, no plumbing, no electricty, no doors. no floors, I'll get more up in a bit. Now you can take a bath and cook a meal and heat with the woodstove and gas heater. The shelve over the tub can be removed to get to the hot water heater and pressure tank. http://www.flickr.com/photos/suecurrin7/

Well, I'm totally impressed. YOU did all that? Love the claw foot tub in the bathroom, and the wood interior is VERY nice.

Congratulations on a cosy home.

Excellent

It sure is fun to build something yourself, isn't it?

Good job, enjoy.

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am! I want to build a simple tree house & can't seem to get the gumption to do it. That is just a beautiful place! & in Maine!! You don't have a lot of warm weather, do you?

What a great job.

Patty

What is your bedroom/area set up like? I'd love to see more photos when you have time. That just looks like a real homey place to be. Did you use books and advice from here to get the buildling done?

Have you built stuff before?

The bed room has all my tools in it at the moment but I'll place a photo of it later today. I did it with help from this fourm and alot of trail and error. I put 4 more photos on a minute ago.

The cabinet with drawers between the stove and refrig. Was it something else before you got hold of it? Reminds me of a desk with center closed in.

And - lady - now you've got me wanting to do SOMETHING.

No it was just drawfronts, then I built a cabnit and top haven't finished staining it yet, have to put up the cabnit I just finished that goes above it. Just got started on laying the hardwood floors in the den, next is the bedroom floors Waiting for the metal roof to get here so I can put it on the addition. Got log siding for that.

Sue, that cabin is great! I love the wood interior and those doors!

What are the dimensions of the cabin-not the porch you're adding but the actual enclosed cabin? I'm hoping to build one day so I'm always interested in the size of other peoples home building projects.

What a beautiful place you have; you should be very proud.
