Don't know how scary this is, but here it is... I went camping in my 20's with a group of people, on some private property on the Medina river during the fall. It was nice, full moon, cool. I hadda pee late at night, so I got out of my sleeping bag and went to the woods to find a nice spot. I got my pants down and had started and I swear someone was watching me. I just wrote it off as being paranoid because I had my pants down peeing, a very embarrassing position to be in. I didn't think anyone was missing from camp, either. Well, I finished my business and was on my way back to the camp and I heard someone whisper something from what sounded like the edge of the woods. I was right along the tree line, so this sound would have been coming from just a few feet away, but no one was there. I said oh, it's a skunk or raccoon making a noise, and so I went on but I heard it again, and it definitely sounded like a man whispering. I ran like h*** all the way back to the camp. Everyone was still there, in their bags asleep. I dove into my bag and zipped it up tight.

Cool Here is a tale of Elvis.

I am new here, and just found this post but thought I might share a story with you. I worked at a very old local church. I did maintenance work for them. There was an on going story of a ghost that haunted the basement fellowship hall. They called him Elvis! One afternoon I and others were gathered there for the afternoon break. We were all huddled around the cutting island in the middle of the room. Up to this point I had never really had too many things that I could say I saw with my own eyes. I had heard plenty of sad moans coming from distant rooms, giggles from dark hall ways, and the sounds of walking about by something that just was not there. But on this day I got my eyes full when the back door leading up and out to the alley swung open with no wind, or aid by anything else and slammed shut twice as hard if it had just been the door closing by it’s own weight along. My boss at the time turned to everyone and said, “Elvis has left the building.” Haha Later I would see a woman standing in the corner of that same hall. So I am thinking Elvis is actually Elvistine. Several of the others had reported seeing her too. Well, there is one of my tales of many. But I will save those for another time.

I had a weird thing happen once, but not really scary. About 5 years ago, I was doing some artwork and was taking a plastic bottle of paint (about 6" high) to my work area. Something came up, so I set the paint down on the dining table (the only other things on the table were salt, pepper, sugar, 2 placemats and a candle, not cluttered at all). I came back after a few minutes and my paint bottle was gone. I retraced all my steps, no bottle. Spent quite a bit of time searching everywhere and no bottle. Finally decided I was losing my mind and gave up and went out to do chores. Forgot about the whole thing while I was out tending animals, getting firewood, ect. Later that evening I was fixing supper and took our plates to the table and there was the paint bottle, right in the middle of the table. I was the only one home all day and it was a large bottle, not easy to overlook on a mostly bare table. My dh and I built this house, no one else has ever lived here. Nothing like that has happened since. I still wonder if I had done this myself, but seems unlikely, I looked on that table several times and it wasn't there. Who knows?
