Angry Stink bugs

This year are terrible! We're getting the annual bombardment with ladybugs - but also noticing the stink beetles hanging all over off of window screens. The chickens aren't touching them...I think I saw a turkey eat a few, but ugh!

Any ideas on eradication without poisons?

Any theories on the high population this year??? We had a similar 'event' with European hornets.

I've had stink bugs and asian bettels in my cabin for, I don't know how many years. Very irritating and a mess. Last fall the wife bought an electronic mouse thingy that emites an ultrsonic wave. Now I don't know if this has anything to do with the bugs but we don't have ANY this year. Not even one.

Probably just a coincidence but------who knows??????

Are you talking the plug in jobbers? Like Riddex? We have a few of those. Or is there something different you're trying?

I went to my sister in laws up the road the other day, and her whole porch was covered with them! I never saw them like that before. I'm guessing they were another type of shield bug and not a stink bug, because stepped on a few (couldn't help it) and no stink came out. Weird!

We have a black bug with a red butt that shows when it flies. They don't eat the house. We vaccuum up what we can, sometimes we do it with the carpet cleaning machine which puts them into water, then we dump them out for the chickens(hows that for hillbilly!! But vaccuuming really helps cut down the numbers. Good luck!
